Well another block party has come and gone and this year was a good one, I was dressed at Luigi as tons of others were and my roommate was Waluigi who nobody else was dressed as! Early on in the night I managed to get separated form my friends and then spent the next two + hours looking for them wile walking around as 8-bit as I could manage and saying excuse me in my best over the top Italian accent. Upon finding my friends I learned we were all leaving which sorta sucked but but all was not lost because right then I spotted my first Storm costume all night and was granted a photo opp from the weather goddess.

Sticky & Sweet Tour II: Two Classics are back!

The extension of the Madonna tour is about to start in less than two months and MadonnaTribe reports a few things buzzing around.
Rehearsals are planned to take place in New York and starting at the beginning of June. They will approximately go on for a month before flying to London for the premiere on July 4th.

As for the changes in the Sticky & Sweet set list a couple of beloved old classics will be replacing two songs of the 2008 line-up. The songs considered at the moment are the 1983 First Album classic hit Holiday, making its comeback in a Madonna tour and Dress You Up, the old fan favourite from Like A Virgin!

The inclusion of such classic songs will surely convince the people who were unsure about this tour extension that Madonna is once again trying something new, by strengthening her already successful show of 2008, reinventing it by adding more fan favourite oldies but goodies!

Hasbro: We like that one too - it's not in the lineup for 2009 but it's a definite possibility down the road.

Cool Toy Review: Will we see the Marvel Legends Nemesis wave distributed in the US? So far all I've seen is Canadian distribution.

Hasbro: These will be coming to the states and they will in fact be a Wal-Mart exclusive when they are released. Essentially, it comes down to WM determining the right time for them to merchandise this wave.

Cool Toy Review: Any chance we'll see the following in the Marvel Legends line? Mephisto, Thanos, the Beyonder, Drex the Destroyer (with Pip the Troll), Hate Monger, Ulik the Troll, the Slug, Smythe, Silvermane, the Grandmaster, Stryfe?

Hasbro: Awesome list of characters, and all of these would fill some important holes. We can tell you that Hate Monger will probably not make the cut anytime soon.

Wolverine is the best at what he does. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for this movie which gets off to a good start but ends with a weak and somewhat rushed climax. The story tells the origins of everyone’s favorite feral mutant Wolverine who, as with the previous X-Men movies, is played by actor Hugh Jackman. Other than looking older in this movie than he did in the first X-Men movie (which takes place after the events of this movie), Jackman does a good job.

Besides Wolverine, the movie contains a wide range of different mutants that have appeared in the X-Men comic book titles over the years like Blob, Gambit, Deadpool, Emma Frost and even Cyclops. However, very little character development occurs for characters other than Wolverine and Sabretooth. The additional mutants appear to be thrown in for little reason, including a surprise guest-appearance towards the end which did not add much to the overall movie.

I also felt the explanation for one of the primary characteristics of the Wolverine character, the memory loss that plagues him throughout his life, was very weak.

In the end, if you want a good action-filled popcorn flick to entertain you for a couple of hours then you could probably do worse than this movie, but if you are looking for a good comic book based movie that is more on par with the second X-Men movie, then I think this one misses the boat.

One last thing – this is one of those movies where you will want to sit through the ending credits to see the entire movie.

M-Tribe Community member Yanns was shopping at the Virgin Megastore shop at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris when a promo video for Madonna's "Miles Away" was aired on the video screens.

"The video consists in a mix of professional footage of the Sticky & Sweet performance of "Miles Away" and backstage/behind the scenes clips filmed in black and white.
The audio used for the video seemed to be the radio edit of the song and it was not a live audio recording.
The clip was used as a promotion for Hard Candy. Considering the editing of the video, I assume this is a real promo video from Warner, Live Nation or whoever owns the rights to these images."

As you remember, sources at Warner Music Netherlands mentioned a similar video to be released to promote the "Miles Away" single, but this never materialized... so far.

New Wolverine Movie Mysteriously Leaks Online

An early version of 20th Century Fox's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," mysteriously made it's way on to the Internet yesterday allowing many people to view the film before it's offical release in theatres on May 1.

This leaked version is said to be a early version of the film that is missing many effects and some scenes. At this point no one knows how much damage this leak might cause to the box office take for it's opening weekend but that Fox representitives are actively pursuing to determine who is responsible for this major leak.

“We forensically mark our content so we can identify sources that make it available or download it,” a Fox spokesman said. ”The source of the initial leak and any subsequent postings will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law -- the courts have handed down significant criminal sentences for such acts and the last person who committed such a crime is still in jail.”

Paramount Confirms Revenge of the Fallen Characters

Paramount Pictures has released a list of the main characters of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Yahoo! has posted the full list along with a never-before-seen image of Ravage.

National newspaper USA Today has posted the list as well, with commentary from Director Michael Bay and scriptwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci on the newcoming characters.

Wyatt has posted a panorama view of new characters from season 3 on his blog, A Delightful Tedium! Just one problem, they're not all real! "I didn't just want to do the normal "lulz! fooled ya" type April Fools joke this year, so I'm trying something a little different. U.S.-Backed Iraqi Government Set to Execute Gays

The country Iraq, liberated by U.S. forces and purportedly on the road to democracy, is set to execute more than 100 prisoners accused of the crime of homosexuality, says a GLBT group headed by an exiled Iraqi gay man.

The charge comes from Iraqi LGBT, which is run from London by exiled gay Iraqi Ali Hili, according to a March 31 article posted at UK Gay News.

Hili claims that the prisoners face execution from the Iraqi government in groups of 20 starting this week.

A total of 128 Iraqis accused of being gay face death.

The group has posted a petition at its Web site to protest the reportedly imminent executions, and has issued an appeal to the United Kingdom and to the UN’s Human Rights Commission to exert political pressure on the Iraqi government to stop the executions from taking place.

Hili spoke with UK Gay News, saying, "We have information and reports on members of our community [who have] been arrested and[are] waiting for execution for the crimes of homosexuality."

Mr. Hili said that his group, which operates a series of safe houses for gay and lesbian Iraqis, has lost seventeen member since 2005.

Mr. Hili said that those missing members were abducted and killed by personnel associated with the Iraqi government’s Minister of the Interior and its police force.

Said Mr. Hili, "The [imposition of the] death penalty has been increasing at an alarming rate in Iraq since the new Iraqi regime re-introduced it in August, 2004.

"In 2008, at least 285 people were sentenced to death, and at least 34 executed," Mr. Hili continued.

"In 2007, at least 199 people were sentenced to death, and 33 were executed, while in 2006 at least 65 people were put to death."

Mr. Hili added, "The actual figures could be much higher, as there are no official statistics for the number of prisoners facing execution."

The Iraqi government has not identified those who are scheduled for execution, the article said, and Mr. Hili noted that in all probability the condemned were sentenced by the country’s Central Criminal Court (CCCI), which is known for trials that do not meet internationally recognized criteria for trials.

Said Hilli, "Allegations of torture are not being investigated adequately or at all by the CCCI.

"Torture of detainees held by Iraqi security forces remains rife," he added.

"The Iraqi government must order an immediate halt to these executions and establish a moratorium on all further executions," Mr. Hili said, "particularly since due process cannot be guaranteed."

Added Hili, "The state executing people for ’morals’ crimes is also obviously unacceptable and deplorable."

The article noted that the Iraqi government was called upon by Amnesty International to disclose the identities and other particulars in the cases of those who face execution this week

Last month, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke out on the issue of GLBT persecution worldwide, saying, "Human rights is and always will be one of the pillars of [American] foreign policy [under the Obama administration]."

Added Ms. Clinton, who was addressing the European Parliament in Brussels, "And, in particular, the persecution and discrimination against gays and lesbians is something that we take very seriously."

Added Ms. Clinton, "It is terribly unfortunate that right now in many places in the world, violence against gays and lesbians, [and] certainly discrimination and prejudice, [is] not just occurring, but condoned and protected" by governments inimical to gay people.

Mr. Hili’s allegations follow years of similar reports about gays and, to a lesser extent, lesbians being targeted for death by Iraqi officials and roving "death squads" who take their cue from anti-gay religious leaders.

A CNN.com article posted last July reported on the experiences of a young gay man identified as "Kamal," a 16-year-old gay man who faced the Iraqi version of "justice" regarding gays when he fell into the hands of a gang in 2005.

Kamal’s treatment at the hands of the armed gang included being raped repeatedly by the men, who eventually released him in exchange for a ransom of $1,500.

Said the young man, "I told my family that I was beaten by them, but I did not dare to tell my family that I was raped by them.

"I could not say it, it’s too much shame."

Even now, Kami and a gay friend called "Rami" say that they must live lives of complete discretion, lest lawless gangs--or the police--detain them and subject them to torture and death.

The U.S. invasion of Iraq six years ago was touted as a blow for freedom and democracy. But for gays and lesbians, life had "deteriorated," the CNN article said: under the rule of Saddam Hussein, a secular tyrant, gays and lesbians might have been subjected to contempt, but they did not suffer the widespread and systematic violence to which they are now subjected.

A few things you should know about me, I love toys more than air and have billions of them.
My favorite toys are action figure, specifically smaller scale, low articulation stylized action figures. Now I have read some reviews saying this line of Wolverine and the x-men figures stinks because of little articulation and happy-meal'esqu sculpting, to this I say they look pretty damn good compared to the x-men evolution figures(don't even get me started on those) but as with most marvel toy lines I will love and support them based solely on how fantastic (or not so fantastic) the Storm figure is.

Wolverine in back in a new cartoon! One of the main X-Men is here to wage war against armies of malicious mutants. This case includes 12 individually packaged action figures from the animated series, including:

'Battlestar Galactica recives best performance since season 2

Battlestar Galactica added to its stellar premiere numbers with the release of new Live +7 data. Overall, the January 16 episode, the first of the series' highly-anticipated final installment, averaged a 2.0 HH rating, 1.8 million Adults 18-49 (up +38% over the Live +Same Day ratings), 1.9 million Adults 25-54 (+35%), and 2.8 million total viewers (+32%). This was the best performance for Battlestar Galactica in total viewers since the season 2 premiere in July 2005.

Fans also visited SCIFI.COM in droves during the month of January to get their Battlestar fix online. With its robust slate of original content offerings, including the 10-part webisode series, "The Face of the Enemy," the Battlestar section of SCIFI.COM was #1 section of the site in January in page views (8.9 million, best month since April '08) and video streams (4.7 million, best month since October '06). Twentieth Century Fox is gearing up to continue its "X-Men" franchise with a younger set of mutants.

Studio has tapped "Gossip Girl" creator Josh Schwartz to write "X-Men: First Class."

Schwartz, the creator and exec producer of CW's teen sudser hit as well as Fox's youth-centric "The OC" and NBC's "Chuck," is expected to inject a next-gen sensibility into the superhero series, which has earned $1.2 billion worldwide.

Writing assignment has also included the possibility of directing the pic, but so far Schwartz has opted not to take the helm.

Lauren Shuler Donner, who produced all three "X-Men" pics, as well as next summer's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," is producing "First Class" alongside "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" scribe Simon Kinberg.

Fox is keeping quiet on plans and declined to confirm details of the project. The studio has been considering ways to continue its successful series of "X-Men" movies after the third installment, the Brett Ratner-helmed "X-Men: The Last Stand," collected $459 million in 2006.

Fox has been leaning toward using the younger characters introduced in the previous pics in future installments -- teenagers with powers taught at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning.

Resulting film would likely draw from elements of the Marvel comic of the same name, launched in 2006, and enlist such characters as Iceman, Rogue, Angel, Colossus, Jubilee and Shadowcat, who have appeared prominently or made cameos in prior pics.

Given Hollywood's penchant for reboots with new actors playing familiar roles, pic could also reintroduce characters. Comicbook revolves around the Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Iceman, Angel and Professor X.

Naturally, "First Class" could also result in its own series of sequels.

Pic joins other "X-Men"-related projects already in the works at the studio. Fox is actively developing a standalone "Magneto" pic, as well as considering a "Deadpool" spinoff, based on a character played by Ryan Reynolds in "Wolverine." Shuler Donner is producing "Magneto."

Regular slate of "X-Men" pics would provide Fox with a reliable series of movies that perform at the B.O. and not repeat a dismal summer sesh like the studio experienced this year.

Although Schwartz has enjoyed smallscreen success, he has yet to crack the world of film with a significant project. He wrote and is attached to direct the coming-of-age comedy "Looking for Alaska" for Paramount.

Tackling a new "X-Men" installment will likely give Schwartz instant credibility within the studio world.

Rymer directed 20 episodes of "Battlestar" and is currently shooting the series finale in Vancouver...

Production on the "Witchblade" movie will start in September... No word on who is cast for the lead role of Detective Sara Pezzini.

Battlestar Galactica special 2 hour event

SCI FI Channel today announced an all-new Battlestar Galactica special event, set to air in 2009 following the conclusion of the series and then released on DVD by Universal Studios Home Entertainment shortly thereafter. Directed by series star Edward James Olmos and written by Battlestar Galactica's Jane Espenson, the two-hour event will begin shooting in Vancouver at the end of this summer. The cast includes Michael Trucco, Aaron Douglas and Dean Stockwell, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Starting before the events of the miniseries, our story focuses on familiar characters including Cylon Number One, known as Cavil (Stockwell), Resistance Leader Sam T. Anders (Trucco) and Chief Galen Tyrol (Douglas). In the beginning, the Cylons had a plan, but it didn't account for one thing: survivors. During the chaotic aftermath of the destruction, two powerful Cylon agents struggle with plots and priorities on the human ships that got away, and among the resistance fighters who were left behind.

Redefining the space opera with its gritty realism, Battlestar Galactica's intensity, issues-driven topicality, and command performances have garnered it unprecedented critical acclaim. In addition to winning a prestigious Peabody Award, the series has been honored as one of the 10 Outstanding Television Programs of the Year by the American Film Institute (AFI) for two years running. This year, the series was honored with six Emmy nominations, including a nod in the prestigious category for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. Battlestar is also responsible for introducing the expletive "frak" into the pop culture lexicon.

The series is from Universal Cable Productions and is executive produced by Ronald D. Moore and David Eick.

The final 10 episodes of Battlestar Galactica will begin airing on SCI FI Channel in 2009.

The show opener, Candy Shop, has now a longer intro compared to the promo tour version. A musical intro a la Drowned World Tour, sounding very cinematic, like the opening titles of a blockbuster movie, starting with the 4 minutes' "tick tock" with bits and pieces of songs from Hard Candy (4 Minutes, Give It 2 Me, Beat Goes On) that we will be hearing later in the show fades into the "C-A-N-D-Y" intro from the promo tour.

Beat Goes On
A standard album version of the song beginning after the Pharrel rap at the end of Candy Shop. Pharrel and Kanye West are doing their thing on video as well.

Human Nature
Britney will appear on video while Madonna sings the song on stage with her guitar. The idea of the Mash Up with Gimme More has been scrapped but Britney's new signature phrase "It's Britney Bitch" is included once at the end of the song.

Vogue
Played on a new instrumental track based on her 2008 hit 4 Minutes, this version of Vogue also includes a music sample of Nelly Furtado/Timbaland's Give It To Me during the whole song. An amazing re-invention!

Video Interlude - Die Another Day
The first video interlude, a fast paced and speeded up version of the James Bond theme Die Another Day, features exclusive new footage of Madonna as a boxer, from the brand new photoshoot by Tom Munro for the Tour Book.

Into The Groove
Into The Groove, that contains a small sample of Madonna's Jump, sees Madonna jumping rope and doing a little bit of pole dancing. The song is delivered using musical parts of the dance hit "Toop Toop" by Cassius.

Heartbeat
A nice album version of this great new song by Madonna and Pharrel.

Borderline
The most vintage song in the show has been totally recreated and turned into a rocky/ska version. Great rock guitars for the most surprising re-invention!

She's Not Me
As almost all Hard Candy song this one too is presented in it's album version incarnation. At one time Madonna reportedly shouts the phrase "I Know I Can Do It Better" in a similar way she did with "Do you think I'm satisfied" in RIT's American Life.

And here's our latest update on the Sticky & Sweet track list. We heard that the list of songs that we report below is basically the FINAL one and it includes video and live interludes. But before going into it, here are some exclusive tidbits on what we will be seeing and hearing during this great show!

The show features four main section. The show opener, Candy Shop, has now a longer intro compared to the promo tour version. A musical intro a la Drowned World Tour, with bits and pieces of song form Hard Candy that we will be hearing later in the show fades into the "C-A-N-D-Y" intro from the promo tour.

The clock ticking theme from 4 minutes can be heard several times during the show. In the show intro, in Vogue and in the "Get Stupid" interlude, which reminds of the Confessions Tour's Sorry Video interlude. In Get Stupid there are samples of Give It 2 Me, 4 Minutes and Beat Goes On and it's about our chance to save our planet from the various damages we created.

The use of music samples is very big on this tour. Many of the classic hits are musically re-arranged as mash-ups and the songs are sung on musical tracks heavely sample-ing other dance songs. Like A Prayer, for example, which, as previously reported by M-Tribe, has entered the set list is now replacing Impressive Instant and it's delivered using musical parts of the 1992 dance hit by Felix "Don't You Want Me".

Into The Groove, that contains a small sample of Madonna's Jump, is also delivered using musical parts of another dance song "Toop Toop" by Cassius, while Borderline is a great "rocky/ska" re-invention of the classic 1983 ballad.

Madonna Sticky Sweet Costume Spoilers

Most people are lucky to work with Madonna once. Costume designer Arianne Phillips has lasted 11 years, from the singer’s Pre-Raphaelite look for “Ray of Light” to the urban cowgirl of “Music” to the Patty Hearst look of “American Life” and on and on and on. In other words, measured in Madonna time, Phillips is roughly 77 years old.

Still, La Ciccone’s upcoming “Sticky and Sweet” tour has had its own unique challenges for her longtime stylist. “Normally we prep in April and May, and open in June,” says Phillips. “This time, the tour begins in August. It’s a nightmare. Everyone in Italy and France is on a beach sunning themselves.”

Thankfully, everyone is a bit of an exaggeration, as Phillips goes on to detail a mile-long list of willing collaborators and everything they’ve designed for the trek, which begins Aug. 23 in Cardiff, Wales, and comes to the United States in early October. Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci designed two outfits, while Tom Ford provided bespoke suits for the band. Three pairs of shoes have been custom-made by Miu Miu, there are thigh-high boots courtesy of Stella McCartney, sunglasses from Moschino, and other outfits and odds and ends from Yves Saint Laurent, Roberto Cavalli, and Jeremy Scott.

Like her shows in the past, this tour will be divided into four sections. The first references gangsta pimp and Art Deco with Givenchy costumes. This, it would seem, is Madonna’s current take on her longest-running fashion inspiration — the dominatrix. “It’s a theme that runs throughout her career” Phillips says. “She’s not afraid of being hard.” The second section has been termed “Old School,” and harkens back to Madonna’s early days in New York, with Scott’s outfit and some vintage prints from Keith Haring, the late graffiti artist and friend of Madonna who died of AIDS in 1990. “He and Madonna were friends. If her were alive, it would be his 50th birthday as well. So I thought, ‘What if we revisited that?’” Afterward, there’s a gypsy section with more costumes from Givenchy. “Riccardo’s a new young talent. If you look at Madonna’s history with fashion, that makes him an obvious choice.” Finally, there’s a futuristic rave section with lots of Japanese influences.

And while The New York Times complained recently about Madonna’s style choices, Phillips says getting older has had little effect on her sense of fashion adventure. “She always wants to push the envelope. There are no vanity considerations based on her age.” As Phillips adds seconds later, “She looks good in everything.”

Batman Breaks Weekend Opening Record At U.S. Box Office

New BATMAN movie THE DARK KNIGHT has stormed the U.S. box office chart, bringing in $155.34 million (£77.67 million) in its opening weekend.

The Dark Knight was set for a record-breaking weekend, raking in a massive $66.4 million (£33.2 million) when it opened in U.S. theatres on Friday (18Jul08). And the franchise film, starring Christian Bale as its winged superhero and late actor Heath Ledger as movie villain The Joker, smashed the all-time opening weekend record of $151.1 million (£75.55 million), formerly held by 2007's Spider-Man 3.

Other U.S. box office top spots were held by Meryl Streep's movie-musical Mamma Mia!, which took the second spot this weekend, earning $27.6 million (£13.8 million), and Will Smith's superhero blockbuster Hancock.

Smith's film slipped to number three this weekend, but managed to add $14 million (£7 million) to its three-week total of $191.5 million (£95.75 million).

Rounding out the top five are Brendan Fraser's Journey to the Center of the Earth, which took in $11.9 million (£5.95 million) in fourth place, and Hellboy II: The Golden Army, which slipped from the top spot but earned an additional $10 million (£5 million).

According to Soundscan, the digital single has sold 2,011,160 units to date. This is Madonna's biggest selling single in the U.S. since "Vogue" 18 years ago which was also certified 2× platinum.

Britney Hits the Elevator for Madonna Concert Video

Cameras started to roll today (7/9/08) on the video that Britney Spears is making for Madonna's upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour, which, sources tell E! News, will be the opening video for each show.

The "Are you ready to rumble?!" video, if you will.

The shoot took place today at the Lot in West Hollywood, the former site of Warner Hollywood, United Artists and the Samuel Goldwyn Studios.

An on-set source said that Britney arrived at around 9 a.m. and was holed up in her dressing room by 9:30. The "Toxic" singer didn't start shooting her scenes until noon.

According to our insiders, the planned "short movie" will take place inside an elevator, where seven cameras will be strategically placed to capture the magic. The scene-by-scene breakdown goes like this:

Britney, partially disguised by a gray hoodie, walks into the elevator. As she starts traveling upward, she seems particularly nervous and anxious. The popster starts pacing back and forth. Then she progresses to kicking and smacking the walls, all frantic-like. She screams into one of the cameras. Then she starts climbing the wall, pulls down her hood and, into another camera, says:

"It's Britney, bitch."

Well, at least she shouldn't have trouble remembering her lines.

We're told that the 26-year-old mother of two acted "very professional" throughout and, a day after the shoot was postponed due to technical difficulties, everything seemed to be back on schedule.

Meanwhile, despite rumors that Madonna was going to wing her way west for a quick set visit, the Material Girl stayed put in New York today. According to a witness privy to her comings and goings, she went to her studio this morning and then returned to her Manhattan apartment.

Britney: "Working with Madonna is a dream"

Britney Spears will soon collaborate with Madonna again, and the embattled singer is psyched to reunite with her idol, says a pal.

The pop icons are teaming up to film a segment that is expected to be part of Madonna's upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour. "Britney is excited, but in a grown up way,” says the source, who has seen the singer through her recent ups-and-downs. “She has come a long way in the last year.”

According to the source, Spears, 26, who used to make headlines for her late-night outings and reckless driving, has been showing new signs of maturity. “She has settled down and is full of life but not childish,” says the pal. Under the supervision of her father, Jamie, Britney regained overnight visits with her sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, and has also re-teamed with her former manager, Larry Rudolph.
“Working with Madonna is a dream, but I think she feels like it’s one she’s earned," says the pal. "She’s respectful but full of her own ideas about the work."

The friend also maintains that Spears has also regained her focus, both mentally and professionally. "I think that so many people have no idea that Britney is fully aware of what’s going on. She may not always have been, but she is now," says the pal. "And she is – if not in control – in partnership with her father and her managers in her future."

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' is set to star Hugh Jackman and will be directed by Gavin Hood ('Tsotsi,' 'Rendition'). The producers are Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter (who produced all three previous 'X-Men' films), along with Jackman and his Seed Prods. producing partner, John Palermo. The film will be executive produced by Marvel Films' Kevin Feige.

Leading up to the events of 'X-Men,' 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'—written by David Benioff ('The Kite Runner,' 'Troy')—tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

Sticky & Sweet Tour: Real set list spoiler pt. 2

Since our previous exclusive report about the Human Nature/Gimme More mash up to be performed during the Sticky & Sweet tour a few things have changed.

The song, which is the third one in the set list, will still feature Britney on screens but has gone back to a more classic version of Madonna's Human Nature with just a few insert of Britney saying "It's Britney Bitch" along the way.

As you may remember we also reported that there are going to be more surprises in the set list. One more HUGE hit of Madonna's career is back and it's a fan favourite too. Vogue from the 1990 album "I'm Breathless" is indeed the fourth song in the show, coming after Human Nature and closes the first set of the show. Vogue is to be performed with a remarkable new arrangement containing samples and elements from 4 Minutes and Nelly Furtado's Promiscuos Girl. The people who apparently heard it say it's a great version.

We also previously reported that the First Album song Bordeline was part of the set. We can now add it comes in the second segment, after Heartbeat while Spanish Lesson now comes before Miles Away and not after.

SCI FI's critically-acclaimed drama series Battlestar Galactica wrapped a record-breaking 10 weeks with its powerful mid-season finale episode, "Revelations." The one-hour episode scored a 1.4 Household rating, 1.8 million total viewers, 1.2 million Adults 25-54 and 1.2 million Adults 18-49*, ending a phenomenal half-season.

For the 10-episode half-season, Battlestar Galactica has averaged a 1.7 Household rating, 2.2 total viewers, 1.6 million Adults 25-54 and 1.5 million Adults 18-49*, up versus Season 3.5 (January-March 2007) by +13% in Household ratings, +11% in total viewers, +14% in Adults 25-54 and +6% in Adults 18-49. This is the best Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 delivery for a half-season of Battlestar Galactica since the first half of season 2 (July-September 2005).

Season 4 of Battlestar Galactica has also seen an increase in appeal to female viewers, growing +23% in Females 18-49 and +25% in Females 25-54 versus Season 3.5. The top four Female18-49 telecasts of Battlestar Galactica ever have all aired this season.

Britney Will Join Madonna's World Tour In Video Only

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The last time Madonna and Britney Spears shared a stage together, the pop stars locked lips at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards in a kiss that shocked and delighted their fans.

But now, Access Hollywood has learned the music powerhouses will once again share the stage in Madonna’s upcoming “Sticky & Sweet” world tour-- though not exactly live.

Despite rumors that Brit would join Madge onstage, the blonde duo will appear together, but only through a taped video performance, Access has confirmed.

“Britney’s doing a video piece this week for Madonna’s new tour,” Brit’s manager, Larry Rudolph, told Access.

The duo filmed a portion of the video Sunday that will be used during the concert, a rep for Madonna said.

“Britney shot some footage with Madonna yesterday that will be used during Madonna’s upcoming tour,” the Material Mom’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed to Access.

As for a surprise appearance by Brit on stage alongside Madonna, fans should not hold their breath, according the rep.

“I do not believe that Britney will be appearing live on the tour,” she added.

Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet,” with Britney on video, kicks off October 4 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

A little late but still just as sad

Michael Turner, beloved comic book artist, passed away in Santa Monica, Calif. on June 27 at the age of 37 after years of battling chondrosarcoma, a form of cancer that affects bones and cartilage.

"A nicer guy never lived," said friend and frequent collaborator Jeph Loeb. "A better friend you could never want. And he loved my Sam."

"In this all access world, very little remains that one could consider truly rare," said Marvel Editor in Chief Joe Quesada. "Mike Turner was one of those things. One of those rare individuals who come around once, maybe twice in a lifetime, a cut above the rest of us, special in every way, undeniably touched by god or whatever higher power you believe in.

"I had the good fortune of knowing and working with Mike and because of this, I consider myself incredibly privileged as it allowed me the opportunity to have been touched by his talent and grace. And for that, I will always be thankful.

"Mike, it was a rare pleasure, Godspeed!"

After getting his start on Witchblade for Top Cow, Turner not only launched his own publishing company, Aspen, but brought his dynamic art style to both Marvel and DC. His work has graced dozens of Marvel comics, most notably on covers to CIVIL WAR.

Everyone at Marvel Entertainment extends heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the friends and family of Michael Turner.

Transformers Still On Top of July 4th Box Office

Various news sources have reported on the movie box office results for this year's "Fourth of July weekend". The Movie Hancock starring Will Smith topped the box office sales this year. But with a respectable $66 million opening, it failed to surpass the previous July fourth movie opening of Michael Bay's Transformers, which last year opened at $70.5 million in ticket sales. Total ticket sales of the top 12 movies during the July 4th weekend totaled at $158.7 million. Which is down 4 percent from the July 4th weekend of last year.

A Britney Spears insider tells E! News that Britney and Madonna soon might appear on stage together... sort of.

"She is considering doing a video piece for Madonna's tour," says the source. Her video would appear on giant screens on stage. The European leg of the Sticky & Sweet tour starts next month.

The source called a report in London's Sun newspaper "wrong" in saying that the Material Mom has invited the former Mouseketeer to perform with her and is taking further interest in her comeback.

Human Nature + Gimme More = mashed up bliss!

Singer Britney Spears has indeed been asked to shoot a video for Madonna's new tour and it's not going to be a video interlude, but a video used while Madonna is singing on stage.

The video is for the exciting new live version of "Human Nature", that as previously revealed by MadonnaTribe it's the third song on the Sticky & Sweet Tour setlist.

The video will be directed by the one and only Steven Klein, that as previously reported here, will take care of two brand videos for the show, one for an oldie ("Human Nature") and one for a new track off Hard Candy.

The original idea behind "Human Nature" 2008 was to give out an updated version of the song by showing the artists, mainly troubled young Hollywood stars, that are being treated as "bitches" by the world press and media, in a similar way they did with Madonna back in 1992 when she the main target of such media attentions.

But Britney is now the main star of the screen video, and while musically "Human Nature" 2008 originally contained spoken samples of "Gimme More", now the concept has been expanded even more with samples of the track, making it longer and cooler and it can easily be described as a sort "Human Nature/Gimme More" mash up!

Madonna has asked troubled Britney Spears to join her on tour — and pals hope she will give guidance to the young star. The Queen Of Pop, 49, is set to record a video with Britney, 26, in New York tomorrow.

The footage will be broadcast on huge screens as part of Madge's Sticky & Sweet Tour, which kicks off on August 23. Madonna has also invited Britney to appear in person on some of the world tour dates. A source close to Britney revealed: “They are recording a video together on Sunday that will provide the backdrop for part of Madonna’s show. And they are talking about Britney taking the stage on a few of the dates too. There’s no doubt that her and Britney together will spell fireworks again."

“It’s hoped that Madonna can help Britney get back to her old self. Appearing with Madonna would really kickstart her career again. She’s been there and done it so could provide some great guidance.” Britney and Madonna stunned fans at the MTV Music Awards in 2003 by sharing a passionate kiss. The source added: “If anyone can mastermind a Britney comeback, it’s Madonna. “Lots of people will be hoping there’s a repeat of the kissing incident a few years ago.”

Madonna’s new tour to support album Hard Candy promises to be her sexiest yet. She will turn 50 a week before it kicks off in Cardiff — but still plans to shock fans with a controversial stage show. The singer will even pretend to be mummified as part of a routine.

Madonna Sticky and Sweet Tour Spoilers!

MadonnaTribe News has learned some info about the REAL and genuine setlist Madonna is rehearsing. The songs contained are a mixture of great classics, amazing new songs, some minor songs loved by fans and some great surprises.

Ok here we go!! Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour opens with "Candy Shop" (very similar to the promo tour version) followed by a version of "Beat Goes On" very similar to the album version. Both Pharrell Williams and Kanye West will appear on video during the song. The third song in the setlist is the first GREAT surprise. It’s the one and only "Human Nature", from Bedtime Stories (and we’ll not be sorry!!). The song will be presented in an original and UNIQUE way, but that’s a surprise we don’t want to spoil for the moment. We’re sure the inclusion of this song will make lots of people very happy.

Section two of the show includes "Into The Groove", a great number where she will be jumping rope with a little sample of the song "Jump" thrown in as well, followed by "Heartbeat". The Fedde Le Grande version of "Music", (just like the promo tour version) and "She’s Not Me" follow.

The following section will opens with the song "Devil Would Recognize You", Madonna will sing it live and play the piano onstage HERSELF for the very first time! After that we go into "Miles Away", just like the promo tour, and a joyful version "Spanish Lesson". Her great classic from True Blue arrives next: It’s "La Isla Bonita" that will be presented in its "Live Earth incarnation", the "Lela Pala Tute" version!!! This third section is closed by one of the songs by Madonna that won an Oscar. It’s the touching "You Must Love Me", the beautiful ballad from Evita, written by Tim Rice and Andrew Loydd Webber especially for Madonna in the film. This version is more or less very similar to its original form.

The closing section of the tour includes the promo tour version of "4 Minutes" followed by one of the greatest surprises fans will adore: "Impressive Instant" from the Music album!! "Ray of Light" follows. It’s basically the album version with some changes in the middle. The promo tour version of "Hung Up" is next. The tour closes with the latest single from Hard Candy, "Give It 2 Me".

But that’s not all folks! Madonna is also doing a great classic for her first album and she’s doing it for the first time since the Virgin Tour. It’s "Borderline" that will be presented like it has never been heard before and don’t forget to look out for the great tour videos that will be directed by Steven Klein, as previously reported by MadonnaTribe!!
